making the cut...

Well, it's definitely been a fun couple of days. On Friday I went out with Karen again. She's going to a wedding on May 24 weekend so she needed to pick up a couple gifts so we went shopping at Yorkdale for a couple hours. We ended up going to the Rainforest cafe as well for dinner. The cafe itself was a neat experience but it was way too expensive for the food we got. I so love spending time with this girl (her personality is wayyyy too addictive), which is good and bad I guess - considering that nothing will probably ever come of it. We've probably went out with each other about 5 or 6 times in the past couple months though which is promising. I'm going to try to not get my hopes up on this one - it'll be better that way. Her birthday is coming up and I would love to do something special for her but I don't want to push her at all so I'm hoping she'll want to do something with me then.

On a totally different topic, my twin brother is going to be on a reality t.v. show!! It's the "making the cut" - the premise is NHL coaches and scouts will run a series of tryouts and training camps to find a bunch of Canadian kids that have no previous pro or semi pro hockey experience, and get them NHL contracts with one of the 6 Canadian NHL teams. Too cool eh?! My bro is a pretty good goalie and has always been one of the best I've played with - I guess we'll see how good he really is..hehee. He's gonna go through some intense training to get in shape for the tryout. I was considering trying out but there are SO many good forwards out there - I think I'd have a much harder time of it.
