update :)

Sorry folks for the lack of entries as of late. My life has been pretty hectic and every time I try to sit down and write something always comes up.

So, as some of you heard, I've bought a new house..woohooo! It's not very large, about 1670 sq. feet, but it's perfect for me. A single guy doesn't really need more than that :). It's located in Whitby, which is about 30-40 minutes from downtown Toronto depending on how fast you drive. I've been looking for awhile and but nothing seemed to stand out for me - i.e. in regards to price, size, and location. I was actually looking more into the condo's in Toronto but they were all so expensive - it was hard to justify buying one at this time in my life. I might look downtown in a couple years - even if it is to buy and rent it out. Real Estate is always a good investment!

Anyways, I was just taking a leisurely drive looking at places when I popped into a sales office - turns out this was one of the last ones left and was half built. So I went down the road and got to check it out. I jimied the door open as well so I could examine the inside. Pretty cool stuff. I get to pick out the colours and ceramics and all the other goodies that come with in hopefully this week. I haven't been able to get a hold of the design center yet - piss me off! It's all pretty exciting stuff..for me anyways :).

So anyways, more news on the Karen front. After I wrote her a "farewell" type letter, basically saying "it's been fun you're an incredible person but I can't keep going on like this" letter, I was feeling pretty good. She didn't respond for a week so I thought that I might be able to finally move on. However....she happened to be online one night, and I hadn't had the opportunity to delete her from my contacts (I'm sooo bad...lol), and she messaged me saying that she didn't know how to respond to my email, etc.. Anyways, we talked for a bit and she invited me over to go out for sushi. One thing we both have in common is our LOVE of sushi!! And of course, being the "ditz" that I am, there is no way I can say no! In fact, I don't remember EVER saying no to her...lol...is that a bad thing?? lol. We went out and had a great dinner and it was lots of fun, completely platonic. Of course I wanted to pick her up and take her home but that's a WHOLE 'nother story! Anyways, the week goes by and I pretty much thought that I better consider it a one time deal. Everytime I start getting my hopes up with Karen I get crushed so I'm just going to go day by day with her. I think she prefers it that way too. I went home for the weekend to get my financing done for the home, and when I get back to my apartment I had a message from her wondering if I wanted to do anything on the Sat night! I was too late of course but I ended up calling her on Sunday and we went out for sushi (again :)). Anyways, absolutely nothing physical is happening (which sucks), BUT I still love spending time with her so I really don't lose - or so I try to flip it..lol. I just want to stay completely away from the "just friends" category. I've learned a long time ago she's probably someone I could be "just friends" with. At least not without a couple yrs break. She's headed off to Vancouver for work as well as to run a half marathon so good luck to her! I'll keep you updated...
